Travel Insurance

We strongly suggest that everyone in your group has travel insurance.  By taking out travel insurance you are essentially covering yourself against travel risks such as lost or stolen luggage, cancellation cover (should you not be able to travel due to unexpected reasons) and most importantly, unexpected medical costs.

When you confirm your Cycle Surgery booking, you are agreeing to our Cancellation Policy.  Please make sure you are aware of our Cancellation Policy.  As soon as you confirm your booking, we recommend that you take out Travel Insurance.

Experience has shown that from time to time things happen that are outside of your control.  The following, are examples which may affect your Cycling Holiday;

  • You injure yourself prior to holiday commencing and need to cancel your trip

  • You injure yourself while on holiday and require hospital care

  • Your flights are delayed, diverted or cancelled

  • A relative passes away and you need to get home

  • Heavy rain cuts of all bridges and you are stuck in the middle of know where - a helicopter is required to rescue you!  (this one did happen and luckily the family had travel insurance to cover the $3500.00 helicopter rescue)

For peace of mind - we recommend that you have travel insurance to cover all eventualities.

For New Zealander's domestic travel insurance is easy and relatively in-expense.  For a family of 4 - approximately $65.00.  This will cover

  • Cancellation Fees and Loss of Deposit

  • Personal Liability

  • Additional accommodation and travel expenses

  • Luggage and Personal effects

We have listed below some links for domestic travel insurance.  Please note that we are not affiliated with them and nor are we endorsing them.  Please make sure that you read their policies, to ensure you are covered for all eventualities should they occur
